Etude-Fantasy #5 Fast Ride in a Short Machine
The title is a tongue-in-cheek reference to one of my favorite orchestral pieces by John Adams entitled, “Short Ride in a Fast Machine”. This piano etude focuses on the technical challenge of repeated notes. It is driving, intense, and rhythmically dynamic with a little bit of a pop feel. It’s fun to play and a favorite with audiences.
